How many questions are on the CompTIA Security+ exam?
The Security+ exam has a maximum of 90 questions and you have 90 minutes to finish the test. Besides, you will be required to fill out some optional exit survey information about your study practices and why you made the decision to get certified. This concludes about 12 multiple-choice questions.

What does the CompTIA Security+ exam cost?
You must purchase a Security+ voucher for $349. The purchases can be made online via the CompTIA Marketplace or directly from a Pearson VUE exam center. Vouchers are valid in 12 months after purchase. Your registration and your test date should be within that time frame. There is no way to enhance the voucher’s life.
What Types of Questions Are on the CompTIA Security+ Exam?
The CompTIA Security+ exam includes a combination of 3 question types: multiple-choice questions, drag and drop activities, and performance-based items. The multiple-choice questions can be single- or multiple- response. Performance-based items (in which you control parts of a screen diagram to answer) test your ability to solve problems in a simulated environment.

How is it scored?
The Security+ score range varies from 100 to 900. You must score at least 750 to pass the exam. This means the required passing score is approximately 83%, though it is not easy to determine the exact score of each question. Your score will appear on the computer screen after the exam is completed.
