Free NCLEX Practice Test 2021
As you know, the NCLEX-PN exam is organized according to the framework, “Meeting Client Needs.” In this test, there are four major categories and eight subcategories. Many nursing programs are dependent on the medical model where students take separate medical, surgical, pediatric, psychiatric, and obstetric classes. On the other hand, on the NCLEX-PN exam, the whole content is integrated.
– 5 hours.
– There is no time limit for each individual question.
There is no time limit for each individual question. You’ll have a maximum of 5 hours to finish the exam, which contains a tutorial in the beginning. There are no mandatory breaks. But there’s an optional break after 2 hours of testing, and another optional break after an additional 90 minutes of testing.
NCLEX-PN exam formats: Most of the questions are given in the 4 option-multiple choice format. In this format, you may meet questions that use audio, charts, or graphics. Besides multiple-choice, there are also three types of alternative formats which consist of drag and drop/ordered response questions, fill-in-the-blank, and “hot spot” questions that require you to locate an area on a graphic image.
Number question: 85 to 205 questions
You will be given a minimum of 85 questions and a maximum of 205. 25 of the questions you take are considered “experimental” and will not count for or against your score. You will not be made aware that questions are experimental, so attempt all of them.
The NCLEX-PN is scored using a unique system. Instead of receiving a point value that reflects either the number of correct answers or the average difficulty level of questions you answered, the score will be measured in “logits.” The NCSBN Board of Directors voted to increase the passing standard for the NCLEX-PN Examination. The new passing standard is -0.18 logits, 0.03 logits higher than the current standard of -0.21 logits.

What to bring
The only thing that you need to bring with you on the testing day is an acceptable form of picture ID. Your ID must have a new photograph and a valid signature must be government-issued, and can not be expired. The first and last names on your ID must also be like the first and last names on the Authorization to Test (ATT) email.
What not to bring
Personal items like hats, mobile phones, purses, and coats are not allowed in the testing area, but small, lockable storage space can be used for your use outside of the immediate testing area.
Notice that do not bring any study materials to the test center.
Tips and tricks
Don’t base on hospital experience or “reality” to answer a question. You always have enough staff, equipment, and time, and answers should be based on textbook nursing on the NCLEX-PN exam.
The NCLEX-PN exam test will ask you the generic names of a drug, therefore concentrate on studying those rather than brand names.
Sometimes, you may have to guess at the answers as you cannot get the next question until you have an answer to the current one. And just be careful not to randomly guess. Please read carefully and attempt to make an informed choice.
Notice that the computer is assessing each answer to decide your ability, for scoring targets.
How many questions do you need to pass Nclex?
A minimum of 85 questions and a maximum of 205. 25 of the questions you take are considered “experimental” and will not count for or against your score. You will not be made aware of which questions are experimental, so attempt to all of them.
What are good signs you passed Nclex?
Notice that the last question you took on the test and look it up to see if you got the right answer. If you were correct, maybe you have a chance to pass.
Is the Nclex hard to pass?
In 2017, according to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, 87% is the first-attempt NCLEX pass rate for U.S. educated nursing students. 45.56% is the second-attempt pass rate for domestically-educated students taking the test. These results imply that it may be a difficult test. The questions in this test are designed to check your critical thinking, knowledge of the nursing process, and assessment skills.
What is the Nclex pass rate?
According to the NCSBN, 88% is the national first-time NCLEX-RN pass rate for US-educated nurses. Nevertheless, the pass rate for repeat candidates was only 43%. Many factors lead to the low pass rate for repeat candidates, but it’s important that you prepare properly and target to pass on your first try for your best chance at passing the NCLEX – period. You should have a solid study plan in place that blends content, strategies, and realistic practice with test questions.
It’s also essential to keep in mind that these are national averages; pass rates vary state-by-state and school-by-school.

You should focus your time and energy on studying the material that’s most likely to be on the exam itself instead.
Besides reviewing the correct material, you also devote an amount of time to practice tests. After all, you’re not attempting to approach new material: your aim is to train yourself to carry out well on a specific standardized test that is administered in a particular format. Highly targeted test prep will go a long way towards getting you really ready for MBLEx.

What to do if you have lost your driving licence?
Differences between NI and GB licences
There were some changes that made to the format of Great Britain driving licences effective from 8 June 2015 have no effect on licences from the Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) in Northern Ireland (NI). NI licences are made up of two parts, a plastic photocard and a paper part known as the paper counterpart.
You can apply for a replacement licence (full or provisional) online.
Or, apply by post
You can change your driving licence by post.
You will need to:
– complete a DL1 ‘application for a driving licence’ form, available from main Post Office branches
– contain any remaining part of your licence
– send your application and £30 fee to:
- Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA)
- Castlerock Road
- BT51 3TB
If you have altered your name since your last licence was issued, you will need to complete sections 1c and 8 of the DL1 form and provide original documents to confirm your new name.
You cannot tell the DVA about a change of name online. If your name has changed since you received your last driving licence you will need to give documentary evidence of the change of name such as:
- your passport in the name by which you are known
- or birth and marriage/civil partnership certificate or Deed Poll
The evidence you bring must show a clear link between the name on the identity document and your present name. Photocopies are not acceptable.
Note – if you would like your supporting documents returned by secure delivery then contain a registered post or pre-paid Royal Mail Special delivery envelope with your application.
If your appearance has changed as your existing photograph was taken, or you are applying for a new full period licence, for instance, an optional renewal rather than a duplicate, you must provide a new photograph which you may need to have certified.
Driving before your licence arrives
When the DVA has received your valid application before you receive your licence you can drive as long as you:
- have held a Northern Ireland or Great Britain driving licence issued since 1 January 1976 or hold another exchangeable licence – explained at the following links: GBR, Jersey, Guernsey, IOM, Gibraltar driving licences and Exchanging your foreign driving licence
- have made a qualifying application for a licence
- aren’t disqualified from driving
- haven’t been refused a licence for medical reasons or for not complying with the DVA medical enquiries
- wouldn’t be refused a licence for medical reasons (if in doubt, check with your doctor)
- keep to any special conditions which apply to the licence
If you’ve ever had, you must tell the DVA, or presently suffer from, a medical condition that may affect your driving.
When you find your old licence
Retorn the old licence to the DVA with a brief explanatory note as it is no longer valid in the case you find your driving licence after requesting or receiving your new replacement licence.
When to expect your licence
The DVA targets to process your licence in 10 working days of receiving a completed application. If your health or personal details have to be checked this may take longer. Permit at least four weeks for your driving licence to arrive before contacting the DVA.
You should contact DVA Driver Licensing in case your driving licence has not arrived six weeks after you made your application.
You must apply for a duplicate licence and pay the relevant fee in the case you do not tell the DVA within eight weeks that your licence has not arrived.
Before expiration, Driver Licensing will accept applications for renewal driving licences up to two months, giving you time to plan ahead and make sure that your licence is ready in good time for example for a planned trip such as a holiday.
Driving on holiday
If you are going on holiday and hiring a car. Let’s check that your driving licence will be valid well before you travel.
After passing the test(s)
Car and motorcycle drivers will receive a certificate. LGV and PCV drivers will receive an embossed pass letter detailing the results for the part of the theory test. Once you pass both tests, you will receive your theory test certificate which consists of your theory test number. You will need this number when you book your practical test.
Theory test certificates are valid for two years. If you do not pass your practical test within this two year period, you will have to take the other theory test. There are no exceptions to this rule.
If you fail the test
If you fail your theory test you should look at the feedback and identify why you failed.
You can take another theory test straight away but you cannot take the test for another three clear working days. Therefore, if you fail your first test on Monday afternoon, you will have to wait until Friday morning.
