A therapist has been conducting a closed 10-week group for men living with AIDS. When working with groups we want to make sure we keep any issues that come up around the group within the group. So in this case, it’s important to encourage the client to address their feelings with the group. A would not keep the issue within the group, and B would not be appropriate because a group member has the right to leave a group.
