WPA2 uses the CCMP (Counter Mode Block Chaining Message Authentication Protocol) based on AES to protect traffic by encapsulating it, thereby ensuring confidentiality. Similarly, CCMP is also the minimum acceptable encryption in WPA3-Personal mode in WPA3. On the other hand, WEP, infrared, and Bluetooth do not utilize CCMP.
