To determine the identity of a disease, injury, illness or condition and attach a label to it is to diagnose it. Diagnosing accurately requires a long period of training on not only the possible diagnoses but on the process of differential diagnoses. Even with thorough training, there are still diagnostic errors. It is not in the massage therapists’ training or practice act to diagnose medical conditions.
