What sort of network switch allows for plug-and-play operation but not custom configurations?

Managed and unmanaged switches have no defined definition. Vendors may promote their switches in a variety of ways. Unmanaged switches, on the other hand, often do not support or have extremely limited configuration choices and are designed to function with most networks right out of the box. Managed switches provide more capabilities and capabilities, but they require more configuration to work properly.
