Question:
_________
.The trachea, also known as the windpipe, is a long tube that carries air from the larynx (voice box) to the bronchi in the lungs. It is located in the front of the neck and chest. The trachea is made of cartilage rings, which keep it open even when the neck is bent.
The trachea divides into two bronchi at the carina, which is located just above the heart. The bronchi then branch out into smaller and smaller tubes, called bronchioles, which eventually lead to the alveoli, the tiny air sacs in the lungs where oxygen and carbon dioxide are exchanged.
The trachea is an important part of the respiratory system. It allows air to pass freely in and out of the lungs, which is essential for breathing.
